Middle Aged Couple Posing on Couch

If you’re one of the millions of people missing teeth, dental implants have been a vastly superior option to dentures. The problem with traditional dental implants is that each tooth would require an individual implant. If you’re restoring all of your teeth, this ends up becoming quite costly. Not only can it become very costly, but it can also take a long time before your dental implants are finally complete.

Thankfully, a revolutionary procedure has been introduced designed to give Belmont and Cambridge’s patients fully functioning teeth in just one day. That procedure is the All-on-4® Treatment Concept.

The All-on-4® Treatment Concept – What Is It?

All-on-4® is a revolutionary procedure that gives Belmont and Cambridge patients who lost all teeth a chance to have an implant-supported dental prosthesis in a relatively short time. Whereas traditional dental implant’s supported prosthesis required many implants, the All-on-4® Treatment Concept is designed to give patients an entire upper and/or lower set of teeth by placing only 4 or 5 specifically placed implants per set.

The procedure begins with a comprehensive oral examination at Dental Restorative Group in Belmont and Cambridge. During your examination, our doctors will evaluate your medical history, and oral status to determine if you are a candidate for All-on-4®. If you are a candidate for All-on-4®, you’ll be able to walk out of the office with a beautiful, new, and healthy smile in a relatively short time!

All-on-4 Before and After Case 1

Before & After of the All-on-4® Treatment Concept

On the day of your All-on-4® procedure, our doctors will remove the existing teeth in your dental arch and place the implants. These implants will serve as the foundation for your new teeth. Once the implants are placed, our doctors will provide your temporary replacement teeth and, if possible, attach them to the implants. These replacement teeth will remain in your mouth until the implants have fully integrated with your jawbone (which can take up to four to five months). While these are just transitional teeth, they are fully functioning, and you can resume your daily life.

After the dental implants have fully integrated with the jawbone, our doctors will replace the transitional prosthesis with another that is permanent and securely attached to your implants prosthesis to look and function just like natural teeth.

What Are The Benefits Of All-on-4®?

The first (and maybe most important) benefit of All-on-4® is the cost savings. Traditional dental implants required many implants, but with All-on-4®, you will only need 4-5 specifically placed implants, drastically reducing the price and time of the procedure.

All-on-4® Frequently Asked Questions

How Are All-on-4® Dental Implants Different Than Dentures?

The first (and most obvious) difference between All-on4® and traditional dentures is that with All-on-4® dental implants, your teeth are permanent and are not removable (just like real teeth). All-on-4 dental implants:

Do not need any adhesive

Are more comfortable to wear

Allow you to eat hot & cold food

Have up to a 70% stronger bite

Prevent bone deterioration

Restore facial symmetry

What is the success rate of All-on-4® dental implants?

Recent studies have shown that All-on-4® has a 98% success rate.

What type of cleaning is required for All-on-4®?

Since the teeth are meant to act and feel like natural teeth, you clean them the exact same way you would your existing teeth. Proper hygiene is very important to the success of All-on-4®, so follow the guidelines given to you by your doctor at the time of surgery.
